Prospective Students

We are always looking for self-motivated PhD/Master/Undergraduate students to join us. Our research topics include but are not limited to:

You can find more information about our research on the HOMEPAGE and the PUBLICATION page. If you are interested in the fields above and would like to consider working with us, please send your CV and transcripts to Prof. Wei Wang.

Requirements

For Graduate Applicants

Applicants are expected to be pursuing or hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Mathematics or other related STEM majors.

Our research often involves interdisciplinary knowledge, so having experience or prior knowledge in areas below are considered a plus (but not required):

We do not expect applicants to be proficient in all these areas, but a strong willingness and ability to learn new skills is essential.

For Internship Applicants

We welcome applications from undergraduate and graduate students for internships. During the internship, students will have the opportunity to work on real research projects under the guidance of our faculty and senior students. Interns are expected to contribute to ongoing research and may have the chance to co-author publications based on their work. Certain internships may also lead to full-time research positions after graduation.

Below are the basic requirements for internship applicants:

We highly encourage applicants doing internships offline at our lab in WHU. However, for exceptional candidates who are unable to join us in person, we may consider remote internships on a case-by-case basis.

What We Offer

We provide a stimulating research environment with opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects. Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, as well as opportunities to publish in top-tier conferences and journals. We also encourage collaboration with industry partners and participation in international conferences.

The lab offers sufficient hardware and computing resources to support research activities. By now, we have several high-performance servers equipped with GPUs for deep learning tasks (e.g., NVIDIA H200, L40S, RTX 4090), as well as various IoT devices (e.g., USRP X310) and sensors for experimental research. We are also building extendable testbeds for embodied AI (e.g., mobile robots, robot arms, LiDAR, mmWave radar) and wireless networking research.

For graduate students, we provide competitive stipends and research funding to support their academic pursuits. The destination of our graduates includes key universities (e.g., WHU, WHUT, ZZU), leading tech companies (e.g., Huawei, Tencent, ByteDance, Alibaba, DJI) as well as key state-own companies (e.g., 南方电网, 航天科工). For more detail about our alumni, please reffer ro the TEAM page.

For internship students, we highly value the contributions of our interns and often consider them for future full-time positions upon exceptional performance. Additionally, reference letters could be provided based on their performance during the internship. We have a strong track record of recommending our interns to top universities worldwide for further studies (e.g., CMU, ETH, Waterloo, HKUST, HKU, CUHK).
